In Brazil, the number of Covid-19 victims has surpassed the half a million mark – the second highest rate of deaths in the world.
Experts have warned that the pandemic may worsen due to the slow rate of vaccination and that the country will shortly enter the winter season.
Currently, only 15% of the adult population has been completely vaccinated. Despite the alarming situation, President Jair Bolsonaro is refusing to introduce measures, such as social distancing amid great criticism.
The Brazilian opposition accused Bolsonaro of delaying the purchase of the vaccine due to political reasons.
