80 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified over the past 24 hours and there have been another 214 recoveries.
This means the number of active cases is now 1,713.
32 Covid patients are presently receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital.
Five of the patients are in the Intensive Care Unit.
The new cases emerged from 3,378 swab tests, which have pushed up to 1,094,044 the number of swab tests carried out so far.
The number of persons who have been infected with the virus has gone up to 34,375.
And the number of recoveries from the pandemic, according to the authorities, now stands at 31,843.
759,818 doses of the vaccine had been administered up to yesterday, 399,690 of which constituted first doses.
The number of fully vaccinated persons is 382,255.
The average age resulting from yesterday’s 94 new cases is 38 years.
The number of Covid victims remains 423.
